Engineers from China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC), on Wednesday turned over to the government of Liberia new services for Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) dealing with and storage for Liberia Electricity Company energy plants on Bushrod Island, near Monrovia.
With the construction of the new storage tanks, LEC can have the aptitude of transporting HFO immediately from a vessel dock on the China Union Pier to the storage tanks.
The new facility will present storage of approximately 5,280,000 gallons of HFO which will assist the steady operation of 38MW of thermal technology of current thermal power plants for a period of ninety days.
